Ensign I just wanted to pick yah PvP brains a bit.
Anet stated that Factions only characters will not have an armour advantage over those who are Prophs only.
You think they acheived this goal?

From his post, it sounds like it's true. Except for the Ele, but who uses Eles in PvP anyway

My Ranger has no problem keeping preps on 100% of the time, so that conditional armor becomes pretty unconditional. 110 vs all elements and 80 vs physical -- I will have to consider the Scouts Armor very carefully.

30 Hp makes that big a difference for runners? (serious question, i don't run). I would think Glads energy would be more important....

Nice...
2 things though.
A) Why are there only 2 Necro armours?
B) Why do eles get "Battlemages" robes with +10 vs Physical (unconditional) while mesmers currently have Rogue's Attire which lowers their energy? Seems a bit unfair since they're both squishy targets, but eles have their Earth skills to protect them. Mesmers have far less ways to gain armour (safe from their Mantra, but they're too situational and not reliable in PvP).

Yes these armors are really unbalanced.
But I think the point of them are to make a person rely more on hexes, spells, and stuff like that rather than just brute force and condition spamming.
That...and Anet really wants Monks and Mesmers to have a fighting chance.

Good question. Mesmer's do have lots of spells to help keep people from hitting them... (like Distortion). But, it doesn't seem fair...
Maybe it's to make Eles mor epoular in PvP?

Yay, decent Ele armor! And unconditional health and armor stuffs! Other than that, meh. Like Ensign said, most of the common PvP armors will stay the same. Soft targets do seem to be a bit less soft now though.
